OUR ORIGINS

As you may have guessed, it all started with a dog named Boo.

Boo (Boo Boo) was a Miniature Doberman who was a gift from my father. She moved with me to NY and was my No.2 on all my crazy 20-something Big Apple adventures. We were inseparable – she was with me all the time, and although I didn’t realize at the time, whenever we went out together we always wore similar colors. It wasn’t really something I thought about – I just instinctively wanted to be synched up with her.

Boo was the ultimate sidekick, up for anything, and she was a good filter for good people! As our connection grow it inspired in me a deep desire to make a difference in the lives of dogs. I learned about rescue, and Yodi joined our family. Then along came Buddy.

Over the years everything changed – except Boo. She was my best friend for 16 years. When she passed away – as any devoted dog parent knows – it was such a heavy loss. So pure – as close as we were, I really didn't realize how much of my life she was.

After losing Boo I felt the strongest need to create something that honors the connection we shared, but that also gives back to organizations that help Boo dogs, and the dogs that haven’t yet become someone’s Boo.
